Three UCL PhDs building an AI-native R&D platform for antibody therapeutics, from our UK research roots to a connected international team.
Our story.
The three of us met at UCL — Shibo on AI methods, Chunan on antibody engineering, Lilian on translational immunology — working in the Davson lab on the next generation of structural bioinformatics.
We founded abYcloud in the UK to turn that research into an AI-native R&D platform for antibody therapeutics. London remains our registered office and a centre for methods research, connecting our scientific foundations with the needs of biotech and pharma partners.
On 02 August 2024 we incorporated abYcloud (HK) Limited and took our seat at HKSTP InnoCentre. Hong Kong handles international commercialisation and cross-border partnerships — the paying pharma R&D engagements and the university-hospital clinical-translational pilot both started there.
Our international network grew in 2026 with an R&D and operations base at the HKUST Shanghai Center in Xuhui. Teams and automated lab capabilities in Shanghai and Suzhou connect with methods research in London and partnerships in Hong Kong. Together, they bring design, wet-lab testing and structural validation into one workflow.

UCL PhD in Computational Biology (Biosciences). Structural bioinformatics and molecular AI specialist; built the scalable tech stacks running in production. Contributor at the UCL Centre for Digital Innovation (AWS-affiliated) with industry experience at leading global biotech companies.

UCL PhD in Computational Biology (Biosciences), MRC-funded. T-cell receptor research and T-cell immunoinformatics specialist. Industry experience including work with a leading immuno-oncology company during her PhD.
